 Our Story

In 2017, Chef David Slay leveraged his experience as a talented restauranteur to found Slay Estate & Vineyard. Set in Santa Barbara wine country’s prestigious Sta. Rita Hills AVA, Slay spent over five years preparing the estate for planting and worked hand-in-hand with the vineyard team. His meticulous attention to detail shows in his stunning wines crafted with the help of the region’s premier winemakers. In addition, the property’s breathtaking views, gorgeous architecture and Slay’s focus on personable service create the ideal venue for intimate gatherings set amongst the vines.
